NYC trip
Journal Entry: Sun Sep 14, 2008, 9:43 AM
I went to New York City last week for my vacation. My wife and I were on the semi-low-budget MacKinnon Whirlwind Tour. We had no real plan but it worked out great!
We stayed in a hotel in Jersey City that was down the street from the PATH Subway. $1.75 gets you to 33rd and Broadway. Or to the World Trade Center.
Highlights: David Letterman Show (Paul Shaffer spoke to ME), Young Frankenstein, signed WTC Memorial Beam, NBC Studio Tour (saw SNL Band practicing on stage for season opener, got on the sets of Today Show and Evening News with Brian Williams), my wife saw Obama zip by in a motorcade, and I saw Chris Hanson from Dateline walk past the window of the coffee shop I was sitting in.
As a group, the people in NYC are some of the friendliest I've ever met. I'm not kidding.
I'll put the snapshots on myspace.
And now it's back to the routine.
